Our Story
Kikamora is a 5-piece band with an eclectic mix of rock and roll, blues, and their own hard-hitting, unique sound. Formed in early 2015, Kikamora immediately grabbed the spotlights, playing their first live show, recording their first video “Old Rosie” and their first collection of songs entitled “Old Rosie Demos”. Their gritty and distinctive rock beats brought them out of the crowd and quickly gathered a legion of loyal fans.
In 2016 the band released their first EP, “In The Henhouse” and performed a great launch show in Wales (their new home away from home). The new EP was such a roaring success that Kikamora entered the “Highway to Hell” competition at the end of the year. Kikamora intoxicated England and Wales over the final months of 2016, gigging every weekend and playing with the likes of Phil Campbell’s All Star Band, Skinny Molly, and The Groundhogs.
During 2017 and 2018 the band kept playing their “high energy” show across the UK, and after some changes, the band had a powerful line-up with Wilf Kite (vocals/harmonica), Jimi Bessant and Chris Archela (guitars), Rob Ives (bass) and Andy Page (drums).
This new line up recorded and released Kikamora’s new EP “Masquerade” in November-18 and toured the UK to promote the album. The EP and it’s following tour had an amazing reception from the public and critic.
In March-2019, Kikamora had their first European Tour, playing six concerts in Netherlands and Germany, including dates in Hamburg and Berlin.
The start of 2020 welcomed our newest member, Ben Allen, on Bass guitar.
